Mike is an experienced all-round Communications Consultant with a wealth of expertise gained over the past 18 years in various positions of responsibility, alongside academic studies and consultancy work.
He is currently an Associate Technical Officer at the Warande Advisory Centre in Nairobi, where he supports capacity strengthening, works with communities of practice, and is heavily involved in the generation of wisdom and evidence. He also co-leads on advocacy and systems change.
Mike has held multiple roles within the media industry, progressing from cub reporter to editor. He has also worked as a Communications Manager for several organisations and consulted for a diverse range of clients.
His interests span multiple sectors, including social entrepreneurship, agriculture, climate change, education, disability programming, and vulnerable communities. He has developed expertise in community-centred, gender-sensitive programming, organisational management and systems development, public speaking and workshop facilitation, as well as policy advocacy and influencing.
Mike is passionate about understanding the systemic causes of social issues, aiming to address root causes while also scaling effective solutions.
